Fundraising for Bamboo Delight Summer Youth Camp 2025
This year, we are fundraising for Bamboo Delight Summer Youth Camp 2025 as the fourth year of project. Given by-choice non registration status of our organization 'Hand to Hand Charity' since 2013, we cannot hold our fundraising campaign for our project on fundraising platforms yet. So, we are launching our first-ever internal fundraising campaign on our website.
We are fundraising $4,600 (or) 200 Lakhs for a total of 60 young people and leaders and a duration of three months.
Bamboo Delight Summer Youth Camp is a three-month program held annually from March to May, designed to empower young people aged 10-25. Participants receive intensive English proficiency classes, general music courses and musical instrument training as well as trainings in leadership, 21st-century skills, social sciences to enhance their educational and professional growth.
This year, we are introducing our specialized courses in Leadership, Research, Business Plan development, Critical Thinking, Content Writing, Career Development and Social Entrepreneurship, besides compulsory English and Music classes.
Starting point of Summer Youth Camp in 2022
2025 presents unique challenges, particularly due to Myanmar's newly enforced military conscription law, which mandates military service for individuals aged 18-35. To ensure the safety of participants, this year’s camp will adopt a hybrid model: in-person classes for juniors (ages 12-15), and occasionally physical sessions and online classes for seniors (ages 16 and above).
Another major hurdle is financial constraints, as the project lacks sufficient funding sources. To address this, we are launching an online fundraising campaign to support students' continued education on our website for the safety of all involved beneficiaries and stakeholders.
This year, the camp is led by a newly elected team of youth leaders who oversee all operations, making this an entirely youth-led initiative for the first time.
The program primarily serves young people aged 10-25 in Nyaung Shwe Township, Inle Lake, and surrounding areas. In 2025, we are expanding to southern Shan State (new 21 townships) and will recruit 10 additional youth leaders for online format only.
Classes offered in summer youth camp range from intensive English and Music classes to specialized courses such as leadership, research, business and several interpersonal skill workshops for youth leaders. Please refer to our project proposal for more details.
