Sue (Yee Yee Minn)
Lifetime Community Legacy Award Recipient
Sue is awarded for her lifelong community service towards communities in Nyaung Shwe and Inle Lake since 2013 when she initiated her self-funded community library and summer school. Using her business profits from her cooking school, she started supporting the education of neighbouring children and families from her summer school and all-year-long library. Today, her community service has lasted for 12 years consecutively, overcoming various kinds of struggles and challenges during political changes. Therefore, Hand to Hand Charity and Bamboo Delight Community are most pleased to honour her the prestigious award "Lifetime Community Legacy Award". ***********************************************************************************
Sayar Matt (Minn Myoh Minn Oo)
Community Leadership Award Recipient
Sayar Matt is awarded for his selfless contributions towards communities in Nyaung Shwe, Inle Lake and beyond. Started volunteering as a short-term teacher at Bamboo Delight Summer School back in 2018, this planted a seed in his love for Bamboo Delight community. Early in 2022, he returned and joined hands with Sue in addressing community issues and fulfilling their needs. Together, he initiated Bamboo Delight Summer Youth Camp in March, 2022 and today, the project has marked a 4th-year anniversary, having impacted 210 young leaders. Therefore, Hand to Hand Charity and Bamboo Delight Community are most pleased to honour him the prestigious award " Community Leadership Award" for his community-centric leadership and commitment to the communities.
